Engineering
Our optical systems are highly engineered, vertically integrated and designed to meet our customer's most stringent requirements. Manufacturing & Assembly
General Dynamics has facilities to support large production programs, as well as the most intricate development projects. Many of our optical systems include passive and active athermal capabilities as well as electronic controls for focusing, zooming and filter wheel selection.
Testing
General Dynamics' metrology lab is equipped with a variety of systems for testing optical components and solutions, including state of the art automated modulation transfer function (MTF) stations and IR and visible interferometers. We are also equipped to do most Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) in house.
